It is nice to be able to recognice your russes on the rustrip (and get to know their names) by giving them badges. When making badges you can book badging equipment through KABS. Your crossKABS will book the equipment, but since it is timeconsuming to create the badges it is generally a good idea to do it a couple at a time or the whole vector team. If you have a big vector team you have to remember to book a room with enough space as it's quite normal to walk around the room while the badge-making process is still ongoing.
There are a lot of badges to make before a rustrip. So it is a good idea to pack direction and crossbadges in plasticbags together with the scannercards for the beveragesystem on a keyhanger for the individual rus teams, then it is easier to give them to the russes on department day.
Badges can be created with the following software:
Explanation of how to create a badge is described in the file. (only in danish)
There typically a crossbadge and a directionbadge for every person on the rustrip. Furthermore you can choose to make fun-badges you can hand out to the participants if they did something extra nice, wierd, stupid etc. These are usually handed out after the messages in the morning.
Tips for how a badge can look is shown aboce. You can add the name of the person receiving the badge, the studyline/team and the year. It is a good idea to have a layout with few details and strong contrasts since it can be difficult to see whats on the badge otherwise. If all of the vectorteam uses the same layout for the badges it's gonna look extra sweet. It is usually a good idea to not write names on either the cross or directionbadge. Then it is much faster to find badges for the key-chains (remember they all have to be identical, otherwise you will have some russes without their name on any of their badges).
Here are some example badges to use as inspiration:
